Self evaluation platform:DLCL
DLCL began with the ideation of a stage that would bring together and enhance the talent of
rural and middle class population. We promote athletes who are interested and have an
aptitude for the sport of cricket. We believe that rural sections of this huge nation have inborn
talent for the sport of cricket but lack opportunity, a zone that has not been explored. Lack of
exposure and funding often renders small enthusiasts helpless to gain expertise in a game of
these dimensions and such fan-following. DLCL wants to be known as the platform that helps
capable players on the way to glory.
In our country, in this milieu of billions of people, all anyone wants is to be recognized.
India is a country that has to balance extreme wealth and extreme poverty. People get
misplaced in this disparity and all that is left is drudgery for the common man. This is a country
where the average woman can go to space; an average man can run the country; any child
can play cricket. Our country, where we can prove our mettle, irrespective of economic
background.
DLCL is a platform that aims to identify and focus on hidden talent germinating in the corners of
the country. It is unbiased towards background , religion or gender. We aim at recognising
talent whether it is in metro cities or in villages and bring to the fore. We hear innumerous
stories of talented athletes who have been unheard of because of lack of opportunities. We
want to decrease those numbers and create a community that appreciates skill and promotes talent, regardless of the economic strata.
DLCL has a Practice session scheme which is called APMS Scheme A (Annual Practice Match
Session) in which total 50 affiliated club matches, 1 Domestic series, 1 International series &
100 days training is given in a year by BBCI Qualified Coaches. On completion of the league
and 10 Days National Camp our Senoir Selector Mr. Chetan Sharma (Former Indian Successful
Cricketer), Mr. Surinder Khanna (Former Indian Successful Cricketer), Mr. Sanjay Bhardwaj
(BCCI Qualified Coach) and Mr. Shravan Kumar (CBSE National Selector) select only 30 Players
from each age group (U14, 16 & 19). The selected players get a chance to play state Club
League.
